Took my 2 hours to sort and return this items to their proper place. I know I can cancel the disk check at start up with the spacebar, but if I miss it, I'm screwed. I need to access all 4 windows versions for testing and repair of other computers, my line of work. Question 2: Is there something to set or change in Win 10 to permanently prevent Win 10 from checking the drive at start?
I rarely use 10 and will know if problems develop with the internal drive via Win 7, my main OS. I have also seen it try to happen when I plug USB pen drives in to Win 10, but that is easy to cancel. Please always tell us the make and model or mobo if DIY of your computer so someone with a similar rig can be more likely to have advice on an issue. What is the make and model of the Windows 10 drive?
