ENG — Writing and Inquiry This course is designed to develop the ability to produce clear writing in a variety of genres and formats using a recursive process.
Spring I. Emphasis is placed on mastering fundamental paramedic skills. Students in this course will meet Monday — Friday for the first days followed by 48 hours clinical rotation which will be scheduled through the clinical coordinator. Possession of a high school diploma or equivalent OR reading comprehension placement score of at least 11 th grade equivalency OR at least 17 years of age on or before the official end date of the course with a reading comprehension placement test score of 11 th grade equivalency.

The Continuing Education paramedic course is designed to produce competent entry-level Paramedics who can provide treatment to the community in emergency situations. Paramedics assess the urgent needs of patients and stabilize their conditions until they receive definitive care.
This treatment includes advanced life support, advanced patient assessment, airway management, pharmacological interventions, and critical decision making. The various skills a Paramedic performs may include intravenous therapy, drug administration, electrical cardioversion, induction of hypothermia, surgical airway, and many others performed in the uncontrolled environment. Students will acquire these skills by utilizing classroom instruction, practical laboratory sessions, hospital clinical experiences, and field internships with emergency services agencies.
Currently, he is a senior adviser, instructor, and counselor at our Pearland facility. The Pearland campus trains more Emergency Medical Technicians than any other facility in the network. Work at your own pace! The student has six months from the day they start to complete all aspects of the course.
The student will spend hours completing the didactic portion online at their own pace. These days are held at our facilities unless otherwise noted and are posted well in advance to accommodate our students' schedules and potential travel arrangements.
