Maestro: Music from the Void is rated 3. This Maestro is pure entertainment! Take the challenge, and save the students! A spooky undertaking, but great fun. If you liked the first two Maestro games, this one will not disappoint. The overall theme is dark but the artwork is beautifully drawn and the music is mesmerizing. Once again ERS has given us outstanding visuals and sound. Fabulous cutscenes and well-acted voice overs enhance the adventure, and you don't have to be musically inclined to really enjoy the gameplay.
The opening cutscene is stunning! It draws you into the story. When roses turn to skulls, the scene is set for what is to come. The story plays out with plenty of colour. The sinister tone is enriched by vivid graphics. The hint recharges quickly in casual. Inventory is used quickly so the lack of a map is not an issue. A journal keeps track of important information.
Black bars provide instructions when you obtain a new object, so you won't likely miss the SG. With three modes of play and the option to disable the black bars in hard mode, the degree of challenge is the choice of the player.
I especially liked the interactivity of the HOS. Shapes instead of a list and, once an item is located, it is used to find another. The puzzle content is relevant to the story and fun to solve. This game is totally engaging. Where but Vienna could you find such an intriguing combination of music, mystery and madness!
Based on the demo an my enjoyment of the CE, I highly recommend that you give it a try! Date published: Rated 5 out of 5 by bishky from Another good Sequel I first played the "try me" in the Collector's Edition and when it came off that the next day I purchased it. I think this one is holding up to all the rest.

I love the stunning imaginative graphics and the fact that you do not have to backtrack too much, which can be frustrating when you have loads of different locations to keep going back and forth to. I adored the lovely toad helper, with his cute little croaks, he really makes me smile.
Crammed with loads of hidden object scenes too, which I much prefer, and think there are not enough of in more current games. I am really looking forward to playing the rest of the series now! Date published: It is such a sweet and simple game compared to the hard hitting, spectacular sequel Raincliff, and all that have come since. Yet you can see the quality and excitement in this game that are characteristic of all these games.
Although a quiet start, the tension builds quickly and the mysterious atmosphere lasts the whole game. And the colours are bold and bright, the HOPs cleverly designed to misdirect the eye while remaining clear enough to see. I did find an occasional item difficult to find because of the age of the graphics, but they were few. Being a little more mature, shall we say, there are few animations and the HOPs are less fun because of it. The background sounds are great.
There are frogs in the pond, and rain dripping into it too. There are spooky noises in the house, and some wonderful booms and crashes. The music is mixed. Some I liked more than others. Love the radio in our car. We belong to a quasi-secret society called Mystery Trackers and we have been called in to investigate the disappearances of 3 famous people who have visited the mansion of recluse-inventor Malleus Void. The things we find in the mansion will both amaze and shock.
And the mystery will become ever more intriguing. Which makes it a very long game. Even I could not play it in one sitting. The HOPs are simple word lists, and as you progress you are required to get more and more multiples of some of the items.
The puzzles, too, increase in difficulty as the game moves forward. The adventure side of the game is at its most simple. You rarely keep inventory items for long, and the game seals off behind you once you are finished with an area, so there is never too many locations to work on at once. There is no map, but hint is literally a hint.
Not quite the answer, but enough for you to know where to go and figure it out. The journal receives a lot of information, and some of it is necessary, so it is good to read it regularly. This game has 12 achievements, which are mostly story related, but there are a couple of performance based ones. Highly-polished game with lots to do and see in well-constructed and beautifully detailed environments. Story is skillfully told at a good pace; ending was rather abrupt, but brings closure.
A pleasure to play. No tiny or blurry objects that are easy to miss. Wonderful color palettes. Looks lovely. Each chapter begins with no inventory. You need to read the journal to understand the entire story. So not much backtracking. Not an inordinate amount of doors to open. Your Security and Privacy are important to us! Privacy Policy.
